Local Partnershipin One of the World’s Largest Plastic Waste Producers
Denovia has entered into a strategic partnership with Resident Holdings in the Philippines to tackle plastic waste in the country.
The Philippines ranks among the world’s largest sources of ocean plastic waste. Denovia is excited to partner with Resident Holdings, led by entrepreneur Robbie Antonio, to deploy our depolymerization systems across the country and change this trajectory.
The collaboration will enable rapid market entry and scalability. With Denovia’s technology, plastic waste can be transformed into high-value outputs within communities, reentering local supply chains. Plastic waste can be transformed near its source, reducing environmental impact.
“Our collaboration brings proven, modular upcycling systems closer to the communities that need them most,”
— Nick Spina, Denovia CEO
The partnership will begin with pilot installations of Denovia’s depolymerization units at selected sites, with opportunities for further deployment in industrial parks and waste aggregation hubs. Local workforce training, maintenance capabilities, and relationships with manufacturing customers will form key components of each installation. To establish a sustainable circular materials supply chain, the partners will prioritize coordination with public and private stakeholders on feedstock sourcing, permitting requirements, and offtake arrangements.
Beyond immediate deployments, further site assessments will cover Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with selection guided by plastic leakage risk and logistics infrastructure. The partnership provides a framework for future expansion as Denovia introduces newer generations of technology, including higher-capacity systems and configurations developed for locally available plastic waste streams.
“The problem is urgent, but the opportunity is real. With the right partners and practical technology, we can convert plastic waste from an environmental liability into a local input for growth.”
